To see if the fields are closed today, visit the Rainout Line App on your phone, from our website, or on our app. You can also visit the Rainout Line Portal or call RainOut Line at 937-400-2004.
Monday-Friday: Staff will update rainout line each afternoon based on game schedules and field conditions. Initial decisions on field conditions will be made by 3:30 PM. If field conditions are initially deemed questionable, final decisions on field statuses will be made by 5:00 PM. In the event of questionable weather conditions during gameplay, facility staff will make additional updates throughout the evening.
If you have a weekday game scheduled, our recommendation is to check field status after 4 p.m., or within 1 hour of your game time for the most up-to-date status.
Weekends: Staff will update rainout line by 8:30 a.m. on weekend mornings. In the event of questionable weather conditions during the day, facility staff makes additional updates throughout the morning/day.
If you have a weekend game scheduled, our recommendation is to check your field status after 8:30 a.m. and within 1 hour of your game time for the most up-to-date status.
Field Reservations
Rice Field offers field reservations for external teams and community members. General guidelines can be found in the Public Facility Use Form. Field reservation requests are accepted for the upcoming year beginning December 1st. Reservations are confirmed as availability allows.
All athletic field rentals require a Certificate of Insurance from the renting party.
